Reply with quote | #55 | Mike, Yes, men can do this. Both my adult sons have done it. They were the ones that convinced me to try it, and now my husband plans to begin his cleansing this weekend.
My suggestion... read the entire book when it arrives. I believe a cleasing period can be "10 days or more-up to 40 days". "Three to four times a year will do wonders for keeping your body in a normal healthy condition." page 10 The Master Cleanse
I dreaded the headaches it said I might have, since i suffer from migraines, but I never had any! Hunger pains? Just drank a little more and 'poof' they were gone. I really did feel better after beginning the diet. I'll continue doing it while my husband does his. He nor my sons need to lose weight. I, on the other hand do. I love the results so far!! |

ok............Beyonce stated that she ate vegetables while doing the Master cleans diet. And i know that there are certain vegies that help speed up the metabolism like broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, avacado, and papaya. I just want to know wether or not it's ok to eat these things. Will it change the results of my diet if i eat at least one of these items per day? |

Is the recipe listed here for a combined 6-8 glasses (48-64ozs) or is it for just one 6-8oz glass? I made a whole gallon last night to start on this morning but something told me I better ask. Hello all!!! I just started the cleanse as of Monday & I am struggling like crazy...lol! Im glad I came across this message board b/c it does seem pretty helpful and motivating. My girlfriend and I actually both started the cleanse and plan to stick with it for about a month....we've already cheated though by eating so should we start over or what b/c I'm throwing a surprise party for my mom Saturday & I know I'm gonna eat there of course, so does it even make sense to keep attempting the cleanse for a few days then resume right after the party or should we just both set new start dates afterwards or what? |

Reply with quote | #67 | This is my first time on the MC. I am at my 4 and I have plenty of concerns, one being I feel that my movements are consistent. I am having very small movements and of course I have been following the diet to a "T". Also, has anyone had the same problem? Day 4 would seem to be flowing for me, right? Also, do I take 6 to 12 glasses during the waking period like the book suggest? Like take it all at once? Then when I get hungry drink more...Correct? |

I am on my 3rd day of the clenase and oing well, well hydrated, not weak, not dizzy, but I have had nothing but water bowel movements, no cramping or anything. Is this normal I am doing Everything according to directions. Thank. Gee My first suggestion is that you buy the book by Stanley Burroughs "The Master Cleanser" you find it in the website. Here is a summary of the instructions: Good luck! DG/ The following recipe for the Lemonade Diet is found in your copy of the Master Cleanser Book, pages 16-20. Following is a simplified summary of the instructions, but please read the book for your own information. It is recommended to follow the diet for a minimum of 10 days. Use common sense and follow the diet for as many days as you can take it, without of course exceeding the recommended time. The night before: Drink a Laxative Herb Tea. (page 21) It is recommended that you have two or three movements a day.Every Morning: Drink a Laxative Herb Tea or drink the “Internal Salt Water Bathing” (one or the other, please make sure you don’t do both, it may cause diarrhea) Every Evening: Drink a Laxative Herb Tea. (before bedtime) The Lemonade: 2 Tbsp Fresh Lemon or Lime Juice (approx. ½ lemon) Organic if possible. (page 17) 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup, Grade B (a little less if you want to lose weight) 1/10 tsp Cayenne Pepper (a pinch) or one Cayenne capsule 4 times a day, 35-40,000HU. in a 10 oz. glass combine the juice, syrup and cayenne, aprox. 8 oz. Spring or Distilled water (you may use hot or cold water. I personally recommend ice cold water, you may add crushed ice.
How much to Drink: 6 to 10 glasses of the lemonade. Six (6) is enough, if you want to lose weight. Suggestion: It is suggested to blend part of the lemon skin and pulp with the lemonade as it acts as a mild laxative, helping with the cleanse.Internal Salt Water Bathing: You may use this method in the morning instead of the Herbal Laxative. Preparation: Prepare a full quart of warm water and add two level teaspoons of un-iodized sea salt. Drink the full quart first thing in the morning. This method will cleanse the entire digestive tract. If you are going out, give yourself at least 2 hours before going out. Teas: You may drink during the day mint/peppermint tea or green tea, and plenty of water. Disclaimer: The lemonade Diet, any suggestions here and or materials supplied are given solely as a suggestion; anyone who follows it does so voluntarily and at your own risk. Consult with your doctor before trying this or any other diet. |

How far in advance can the lemonade be prepared. I read that lemon juice will start to oxidize after about 4 hours. Is this different because it is mixed with the syrup? I would like to make it the night before, because the mornings are too busy. Is this OK? |

That also goes for peppermint tea.

Hi everyone!! I'm new to this message board. I've been working out and watching what I eat for about a year now. My youngest son is 2 -- I can not lose this last 15 pounds. A friend told me I should try this. But.... my husband will kill me if I buy another "weight loss" thing. I've tried so many things and none of them helped. I'm just wondering. The ingrediants for this receipe -- am I going to be able to find these?? I can't buy the whole kit.. Any suggestions or help?? |

Reply with quote | #93 | I have a few questions. I'm assuming if you make up an all day batch, you want to keep it refrigerated?
If I make an all day batch, could I just take a glass full, add some ice and blend it? Or will that dilute it too much?
Will I get an email notification if I subscribe to this thread and then someone else posts? I'm pretty new to message boards and that seems to be how it works on a different site I frequent.
Thanks.

San Deigo girl posted a question on thread #41. Is there an alternative to the tea? I'm Mormon and can't drink tea. Would a colon cleanse capsule be OK? Any alternative would help, thanks! I didn't see an answer and am wondering the same thing. I haven't been using the tea just a salt water at night and in the morning. Is this ok? Do I have to drink the tea? I am ending my 4th day and haven't use the tea. |

You need to have sufficient bowel movements on this cleanse, even if they are watery you will still need to insure your colon is kept clean, at least 3 - 4 movements a day.

Reply with quote | #97 | I make my Master Cleanse in 1/2 gallon batches. I was wondering if I am using the correct measurements.
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup agave syrup
1/2 tsp cayenne
Then fill the container with water.
I also I like to drink it cold, or on the cool side. I end up drinking about 3/4 gallon of the Master Cleanse a day, in addition to water, and herbal teas.
I'm a first time cleanser, and I just want to see if I am doing it right. I want to get the best results.
Thanks,
~Megan

[Day 3]
60 Ounce Lemonade Formula Here's the recipe I use for a 60 ounce batch, if you double it (120 oz.) that would be almost 1 gallon (128 oz.). In a 1/2 gallon container mix the following. Keep in mind with the 60 ounce batch the cayenne has a tendency to become hotter the longer is "steeps" in the MC/Lemonade, so your last glass will seem a bit hotter than the first. - 3/4 cup fresh organic lemon juice
- 3/8 - 3/4 cup of organic maple syrup (grade "B" if available)
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 48 - 50 ounces pure spring or distilled water.
Use less than 3/4 cup of maple syrup for speedier weight loss, but not less than 3/8 cup. If you can't find grade "B" maple syrup use Grade "A" dark amber. ...vegeman __________________ LET THE BEAUTY YOU LOVE BE WHAT YOU DO...Rumi
