Reply with quote | #101 | Morning of day 9.
Weightloss is still just as slow... Lost 0.5 pound (0.2kg) since yesterday.
So far I have lost 12 pounds ( 5.5kg ).
I am thinking that I could easily lose the same amount of weight when still eating...so I think I will just start the ease off on day 11.

Reply with quote | #102 | New to posting, so excuse me if I do this incorrectly. Not sure how to post the ticker. If it does not post, then my goal is loosing 8 pounds. Current lb: 148.8. Reason loosing weight: I only gain weight in my stomach areas. Detox: Never done it before. Results expected: Not even sure yet. Thanks for sharing your posts, perhaps this will keep me motivated.

Reply with quote | #103 | Happy New Year Everyone. From reading all of these posts, it appears that I am one of a few males on here. Oh well, it is nice to have a place to not only track the progress, but encourage others.
I did the MC for the 1st time about 2 or 3 years ago. I did it for 10 days and lost 22 pounds. While I wasn't doing it for the weight loss, it was a nice added bonus. The way I felt after the Cleanse was out of this world. I hadn't felt that good in almost 5 years. I kept the weight off for about a year and then just stopped working out and eating right and drinking more. I am determined to turn my life around and the first step is getting back into top shape.
I bought enough supplies to go for 20 days. The 20th day being Super Bowl Sunday. I have already said no to all parties and once I finish that 20th day, at home and watching the game by myself (havent done this since high school) I might find the strength to keep going. It all depends on the results.
The first time I did this I would drink the tea in the morning and at night. 2 32 ounces of the Lemon drink. I buy the ceyenne capsules and empty 1 capsule in each 32 ounce drink and take the other 4 orally (2 with each). I start working out on day 5 of doing this and that is also when I do the SWF. I do it in the morning AFTER I work out instead of the tea. I did the SWF twice in the 10 days.
I will be starting tomorrow and will be checking in daily with updates. Best of luck to all of you.

Today is my first ease off day. I got so siiiick of the whole cleanse and my weightloss was standing still…so I started the ease off on the 10th day instead of the 11th. Oh well. Troughout the whole cleanse (9days) I lost 5.6kg ( 12.3lbs) So hopefully these will stay off… I will now start a new fitness/diet regime! Good luck to the rest of the cleansers! Stay strong! =) __________________

Hi there! Today is the start of day2 for me and let me tell you I have the biggest headache evr !! Did that happen to anyone? Another question I have is ... I put a "pinch" of the pepper in each drink .. but amn .. it's spicy! And I like hot sauce and even have hot sauce on my eggs .....so should I put a little less today or it is supposed to have a kick ? Honestly .. I wonder how people that generally don't use hot sauce deal with this issue...looking forward to any replies .. I'll be able to check on this later today .. Thanks ! __________________ Read you later , Gerri |

Reply with quote | #106 | Hi Gerri, congrats on making it to the second day!
To answer your questions....
Yes, headaches are normal for the first few days. This is my second cleanse and I seemed to experience more of a headache on the first and second day than I did on the first cleanse. But it DID go away. Make sure you are eliminating the toxins and drinking plenty of water.
Regarding the pepper, try putting the lemonade on ice or chill it before drinking. This seems to help. Also, there is a product called "Cool Cayenne" that comes in capsules. I have used this on both cleanses and I like it better. I empty (1) capsule per 16 oz. lemonade (only half a capsule if you mix 8 oz. at a time), you should be able to find this at any health food store.
Hope this helps! Best of luck and Happy Cleansing! __________________

Reply with quote | #109 | Ok, this is my second try. First try was on 1/2/07 and a lasted up until 1/5/07 and failed. I did lose 5 lb and have managed to keep them off by eating healthier and excercising. On 1/12/07 I started again, it is day 4 for me and I have lost 3lbs so far. This time I am planning to complete the 10 days take a break and then do another 10 days. Hope I can do it this time!!!!

Hello Everyone I started the diet today. This is my first time. I can't wait til I see the results. I couldn't finish the salt water cleanse too nasty. The lemonade is ok except for the cayenne pepper. Not sure if I put too much. Made 48 oz of lemonade and put 6 pinches, is that right? The lemonade is ok but once I shake it up then it gets alittle hard to swallow with pepper kick. I really wanted to get capsules but its hard to find kosher capsules. Can someone advise? I'm gonna try going 30 days. sw 203 gw 150

Made it thru my 2nd day ..still have a bit of a headache ..but it's ok. I put the lemonade in the fridge and drank it cold and in huge gulps so I can tolerate the spicyness .. not feeling hungry at all ..weird huh? I really hope nothing gets in my way to last at least 10 days ! Thanks for the advice ! __________________ Read you later , Gerri |

Reply with quote | #118 | Hey all,
This is day 2 for me and I am feeling super nauseous. Has this happened to anyone else? I also feel lightheaded, dizzy, tired, and feel as though I cannot focus on anything. I was under the impression that this cleanse is supposed to make you feel better. I don't really need to lose weight...I'm at about 128 or so...I just thought it would be nice to lose a few pounds before an upcoming vacation down south. I'm starting to think it's not worth it. What do you guys think? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and good luck! |

Reply with quote | #122 | This is the end of my second day. Haven't lost any lbs yet, but this is my first time and think it might take a few days to kick in. I had one bowel movement yesterday and a couple of smalls one today but the laxative tea is working. I used limes for these few days, its' ok but tastes better with lemons. I have been feeling fine, just hungry sometimes. Does anyone recommend a juicer? Simple and affordable that does the job. Also who makes the cool cayene? Still want to know if a child can drink this but still eat. I think this would be beneficial for my son who gets sick very easily always with his head nose throat and a little of asthma brought on by chilly weather. I'm thinking of taking him off milk and drinking an alternative like Rice Dream. Any suggestions. __________________ Grysell |

Reply with quote | #129 | OK, so i started last week on the 8th and I found that if I switch between the SWF and the tea, my weight loss will not be stalled like it was. Today is day 10 for me and since I have lost 10lbs so far and 2 inches off my waist, I am gonna go for another 10days. My first week was very rough with the headaches and the SWF, but I sucked it up. I hate that I have so many BMs during the day, but oh well. I feel a lot more alert and energetic. I hope I lose another 10 in the next 10 days. I want to at least lose another 15lbs by my B-day next month. I will be so excited if I do. Good luck to everyone and their goals!!

Reply with quote | #133 | Day five and I am now down another 2.5 lbs. That is 10.5 lbs so far and I am just half way along. The only problem is I am starving. I think about food all day. I have three kids and I am cokking breakfast and dinner for them as well as preparing them snacks and I am so tempted to take a taste. It is so hard to cook without tasting to see what it needs. Last night I made my son who is a meat eater a filet. It looked and smelled so good even though I have been a non red meat eater my whole life. Ususally I get so grossed out when I cook meat, but not yesterday.
I started using th Necter Agave in my MC instead of the MS and it taste so much better and lighter. I also add a teaspoon to my tea. It makes the tea drinkable. I could not stand the SWF to I am taking the Smooth Moove tea in the eveing and morning. Is there any laxatie tea that taste better than the Smooth Moove? That stuff taste and smells horrible, even the so called chocolate one is Yuck!!

I am starting saturday, Jan. 19th. I am very excited to start this. I have known about it for at least 10 years and have known people who have participated in it. Here are a few questions and I will probably think of more as the day goes on. What time should you take the Laxative tea in the evening ( I plan on taking the salt water at 5 am). Can you exercise during the fast. Can you use lemon juice or should you always use fresh lemons. The book says, "Take form six to twelve glasses of the lemonade daily during the waking period." Does this mean to drink 6 to 12 glasses in the morning? It may seem like a dumb question, but I am just seeking clarity. How long after the salt water bath should you wait before you start to drink the lemonade? I guess thats enough for now. |

Hi everyone! I've been reading all your posts and am feeling encouraged that I can actually do this. Tomorrow I will be starting the first day of my cleanse. I am hoping to make it 10 days. I know it's going to be tough but I really want to do this. I am ready to start feeling healthier and am hoping to also lose a few pounds along the way. Tonight I will drink my Get Regular tea to get things moving. Tomorrow morning I will try to do the SWF but from what I've heard it is hardly tolerable. If I can't drink it I will just stick to the tea twice a day. BTW, to the person that asked about a different tea other than the Smooth Move, I highly recommend Get Regular tea. It's made by Yogi Teas and it is much less intense than the Smooth Move tea (doesn't cause all the cramping). As far as a juicer, I actually went out and bought one because I am tired of juicing by hand. I bought the Black & Decker Citrus Mate Plus. I absolutely love it! It is super easy to use and a breeze to clean up. It completely juices your citrus fruit and gets every bit of juice out. It has a feature that allows you to make your juice with no pulp, a little pulp or a lot of pulp. It cost me $18 but it is going to save my arm a lot of strain. I figure after 10 days of lemonade I will be glad I got it. Plus, it is saving me from having to buy twice as many lemons, since it extracts so much more juice than I could get ever get by hand. gfbaro, you asked about children drinking the mixture. I think I've read that it is perfectly safe for children, although you may want to adjust the cayenne pepper down. My 4 yr. old grandson loves my "special lemonade" and asks me for it. I think it would help your son's allergies because it is a natural anti-inflammatory and detoxifier. You'd just want to be careful that he doesn't inhale the fumes from the cayenne pepper because it might trigger an asthma attack.
I am glad I found this message board. It sounds like everyone is really encouraging and full of information. I know that this is going to be a tough 10 days but I am hoping to feel fantastic by the time I'm done. I'm off to drink my tea and get ready for bed. Tomorrow I will wake up and start my first day. Wish me luck!

Reply with quote | #138 | Start of Day 5 and I have scored a small victory. I dropped another 2 pounds, so it is good-bye 280's and hello 270's (allbeit just barely). It is these samll little goals that keep me going. When I step on the scale in the morning and see that the second number has changed, I just know I can't quit and have to keep going.
Did the SWF this morning for the first time during this cleanse, and man it did what it was supposed to do. Thank God I planned on staying home this morning.

Reply with quote | #139 | Start of Day 6. After 5 full days on the cleanse I have lost a total of 11 lbs. Nothing to drastic, but averaging 2 lbs. a day, I will take that. I am feeling much better, sleeeping better and my clothes are fitting better. So, I know this thing is working for me. I have not cheated once and I have done this to a "T".
Hope all of you are still going strong.

Hello Well I had a problem yesterday. Totally forgot my lemonade on the way to take my son to the doctor and was gone most of the day. Didn't get home til about 5pm and made my lemonade started gulping down then didn't realize til about 8 that i forgot to put the pepper. I had downed most of it so I stopped and and drank my tea. but didn't cheat. i I will start to give my son a glass of lemonade everyday to help out with his allergies/asthma/sinuses. Where did you get the juicer love2bake and good luck?

Reply with quote | #143 | Start of Day 7 for me. After 6 full days on the cleanse I have lost a total of 14 lbs. I really did not expect to lose 3 lbs from yesterday morning because I drank alot of water yesterday during the football games. But, I did start doing some cardio today, so maybe that is what offset it.

Hey everyone. I am starting a 10 day today. Forgot my ceyenne but I am going to drink the juice without anyway. Second time around, did 7 days four years ago and four days just before the holidays last year but lost focus so now I am back. Going for 10-12 pounds and flushing my system out. My advice to anyone with kids is try not to cook, cereal and berries for dinner or cottage cheese and tomatos would actually be good for them for a few days. I have a 9 year old and I do plan on cooking for her a couple of times over the 10 days but not many.
CW 162 GW 150 1/23/08 Starting day 2, day 1 was pretty easy and I made dinner for my daughter. Feelin good. I wasn't thinking of weighing myself until after 10 days I just don't want to be distracted with weight. If I feel discouraged or unable to continue then maybe I will for motivation. 10 days sure feels like a long time right now but one day at a time, right. Not hungry at all.

Reply with quote | #149 | Today is day one of a 10 day stint for me. I imagine that I will be posting to this board quite often as the day goes by. So far, it has not been toooooo bad. Feeling a bit queasy and slightly dizzy though. Have had some thoughts of food and missed my morning coffee. Unfortunately my hardest time of day, after work and early evening, have not come yet. I will be seriously challenged then.
I successfully dieted and lost quite a bit of weight two years ago, so I know that this thing is 1 part motivation, 1 part preparation and two parts determination. I will keep pressing on! |

Reply with quote | #150 | Hi there everyone. It's been a couple years since I last cleansed and boy do I feel sluggy. Starting the actual cleanse tomorrow. Have been eating mostly soup and veggies the last few days in preparation. Would like to lose 7-12 lbs but mostly want to prepare for eating the way I should be with a cleaner system. Have been reading some posts here and there and it really is helpful. Some things I remember from the last time I cleansed was a) Do Not go anywhere without a cup of lemonade. b) Do Not go too long without drinking c) Make sure I have straws to make the SWF easier (close the eyes and count the gulps..as little on the tongue as possible....) I'm glad someone posted about adding a little agave or syrup to the teas...I hadn't thought of that and I'm sure it will make them more tolerable. Little things like that help a lot! Nice to be here/meet you all..have some support..etc. Lisa |
