Hello,
I am almost done day 1 of the cleanse. I never did the SWF this morning, however I did drink the senna tea last night and had alot of BM's in the morning. The reason I never did the SWF is because the only type of sea salt I can find where I am has IODIZED written right on the front of it.
Is it possible for me to do the SWF with this type of sea salt? Or is that a no no? Otherwise I will have no choice but to not do the SWF.

The uniodized sea salt and water will not separate but will stay intact and quickly and thoroughly wash the entire tract in about one hour. Several eliminations will likely occur. The uniodized sea salt water has the same specific gravity as the blood, hence the kidneys cannot pick up the water and the blood cannot pick up the salt. On the other hand, iodized sea salt has a different chemical composition and can be absorbed by the body. Iodized salt can be harmful to you; the iodine building up in your system to a toxic (even poisonous) level. I would highly recommend you find some uniodized sea salt and do the SWF, using NON-iodized sea salt is essential. It should be available at your nearest health food store (and it's not expensive). The herbal laxative tea at night and the SWF in the morning work in conjunction with each other, the herbal laxative tea loosens and the salt water washes the nasty stuff out. Neither one by itself is quite as effective.

Although neither by itself is quite effective, it is still possible to do the cleanse with out the SWF?
I never did the SWF again this morning, but I feel that the senna tea is helping me clear out. I do intend to get a drive to go find some lol. I guess I will let you know how that turns out.
Overall I am not having any bad reactions or any of the symptoms that others have reported so I am taking this as a good sign. I intend to do a full 10 days. |

Stanley Burroughs says in his Master Cleanse booklet; “It is quite advisable to take the herb laxative tea at night, then the salt water each morning to wash it out. If for some reason the salt water cannot be taken in the morning, then the herb laxative tea must be taken night and morning.” Peter Glickman (modern day authority on the MC) comments: “However, I believe that (the herb laxative tea in the morning) isn’t as good as doing the salt water flush.” ...vegeman __________________ LET THE BEAUTY YOU LOVE BE WHAT YOU DO...Rumi

Well, I am on day 5 and haven't did the SWF yet, but still lost 7 pounds. I will be able to get my hands on some sea salt tomorrow. I was just wondering if I could do the SWF as soon as I get home which will be around 1PM? Or is this something that is strictly to do in the morning?
Thanks in advance, . |

Yes, it will be fine to do the SWF when you get home, just make sure you have an hour or two to stay near a bathroom, especially if it's your first time and you're not used to your body's reaction. You will have some urgent movements and they may be mostly liquid. Between the lemonade formula, the herbal laxative tea and the SWF (salt water flush) this cleanse tends to dissolve and liquefy most everything left in your colon when the bulk of fecal matter is eliminated after the first few days, reducing the toxic eliminations to mostly watery stools (butt pee), some days brownish in color, other days semi-clear.
Here's a link that may be helpful. click on: Concerns about the SWF & some tips...

It is definitely not pleasant! Basically self induced diarrhea...and when you have nothing in your stomach it is uncomfortable....but its part of the cleanse, and it will leave no doubt you have washed your insides out |

Well, that certianly was an experience and a half. I think its all done now as it has been about 45 minutes since my last movement.
I almost got sick downing the SWF, but I kept saying in my head "you can do this. You can do this." It worked! On Day 6 and feeling great! I found though that at the end of the day I have been extremely tired. Been going to bed early through this whole thing so far. It does feel nice though to get a good 10 hours in... well, except for the few times I woke up running to the bathroom in the middle of the night! But other wise I am waking up very refreshed. I am so glad that I am doing this.
I started this off because I wanted to loose the weight. I need to go for surgery and the doctor told me I needed to loose another 15-20 pounds. So far today I have lost 9 pounds in 6 days! Not sure now if I am going to stop at day 10 or go for 15 days instead. Although it is getting easier as time passes by, I still miss food. And YES, it is totally psychological now as I am having no cravings for it. Just thoughts of it!
We shall see.
This is the first time I have done the MC. Is it recommended that I only do 10 days the first time? |

According to Burroughs you can safely go to 40 days (or more).
