| A few: How long after the SWF can I flush again the same day? Have been doing lax tea's and SWF but nothing NOTHING is happening. How am I supposed to get at least SOME of this moving so I don't keep getting toxic buildup? I'm very concerned and feel absolutely awful! Day 5(no bm at all) __________________ elaine |

Day 5(no bm at all) Are you not getting any watery "butt pee"? Do you feel excessively bloated? What detox symptoms are you experiencing? If you have no measurable results for 4 - 5 hours after the SWF you can do it again.

I'm extremely tired and bloated and light headed. I've done 2 lax teas today and 2 SWF. I don't even have watery stools. Nothing. I'm just peeing from appropriate area. I'm concerned about auto-intoxication. I have to say one of my symptoms before the cleanse was never evacuating properly. I assumed it was candida overgrowth. Also any movement was not thick but skinny.

Pencil thin or thin stools (either solid or loose) are generally caused by a narrowing in or constriction of the large intestine, rectum or anus. This could also be a sign of a blockage or kink in your colon caused by a large hardened stool; imagine a log trying to navigate a tight turn in a stream and it gets stuck (sorry to be so graphic).
Your situation (insufficient movements), if accompanied by pain and/or blood in the stool may indicate more serious conditions, including the symptoms of colorectal polyps or even cancer. Another concern would be that you have not been having normal bowel movements for some time before the Master Cleanse was started.
I am not qualified to give medical advice but if this cleanse does not help your condition you may consider consulting a trusted healthcare professional and having some tests done.
Just to double check, make sure you are mixing the SWF properly with the right proportions. See this post: Important notes on proper measurements...

Thanks. I don't have blood or pain at all. I will consult a doctor should this continue after the cleanse but I"m on my 5th day and it just seems the SWF should be working by now. Does it (swf) dissolve things even if it appears to not be working? Doing it in the morning is tedious and faithless if it does nothing. Not an easy pill to swollen first thing! Although the taste does not turn me off like it does other people. I'll drink ANYTHING if I think it will heal me! Thank you for your prompt and thorough responses. Don't know where we'd be without you. Sincerely Lilaynie

The lemonade mix and the SWF will eventually erode away any type of fecal obstruction and sooner or later you should have relief if that's what it is. I'm as puzzeled as you are that you aren't seeing results.
When you are back to eating solid foods, I'd recommend you insure you're getting enough natural dietary fibers from food. These are most easily obtained from whole grains, legumes, and certain fruits and vegetables. Two natural fiber food supplements that can be added through diet are cooked split peas and kidney beans. The suggested recommended daily intake of fiber in the US is over 30 grams for men, and 25 grams for women under 50. Split peas give a hefty 16 grams per cup, and kidney beans offer a little over 13 grams per cup. These two are some of the best sources of dietary fiber. For a chart listing the fiber content of foods click on: FIBER CHART

thanks. My diet is pretty pure with lots of fiber. I talked to someone who had done this and we both decided the herbal lax wasn't strong enough so I used a stronger one and today I had success. Very happy now. Lilayne

Pure senna or pure Cascara sagrada are the strongest herbal laxatives.

Herbal laxative teas work by the principle of peristalsis (distinctive wave patterns of smooth muscle contractions that moves food through the intestines) and should be used while cleansing. When you are cleansing there is little to trigger the action of peristalsis, thus the need for the herbal laxative tea. Normally, eating solid food would serve this function.
People who take laxatives while eating regularly (usually constipation is the reason) will, after a time, develop a dependency. Once the cleanse is broken the reintroduction of solid food will naturally take the place of the tea in stimulating the peristaltic action and the tea should no longer be needed.
Continued and/or regular use of herbal laxative teas after the cleanse, and once you've resumed consuming solid foods, will create a dependency and that is why some say it is not safe.
