I realized why I was having so much trouble with the MC the second time around...MY BLOOD SUGAR LEVEL! It had elevated and I thought that I had been cleansed of diabetes the first time around! I knew something was different b/c I kept feeling sick after I had the lemonade w/ the maple syrup in it...but when I didn't use the maple syrup, I felt okay (but I knew it was a requirement). How can I obtain instructions on how to use the agave for the MC instead of the Maple syrup? Can I purchase directions without purchasing the package? (I am near a health food store that sells everything on the site). Any info on this would be great...I would love to start tomorrow, if possible. |

I'll give you my secondary account. If this is for your research, let me know what stats you would like me to record for you. If this can help others, I'd be more than willing to comply. |

O.K. emailed! good luck! The recipe was part of a research done with a profesionals in the field of nutrition, but as I'm not in a position to prescribe any treatments take it as a suggestion. You understand your condition and your body better than anybody else, using common sense is the key to these or any other cleanse. Please keep us posted of your progress, as it will help others. hugs/DG/ __________________ http://TheLemonadeDiet.com

so...sorry, I have someone new packing and it seems the instructions were left out, they are usually inside the MC Book together with the invoice... but I don't like talking about orders on the message board, so just post your email and the last 4 numbers of your order if they are missing and I'll email them to you. Please keep us posted, we need the feedback! Hugs/DG/ __________________ http://TheLemonadeDiet.com

Diet Guru, Thanks so much for the recipie! Well... So far so good! Started the tea last night and the drink today. If all goes well I will be on my way to 30 days or more. I have to say, honestly, that the agave is faaaaaar better than the maple syrup (no disrespect to the syrup ). I don't feel sick and lightheaded this time around, and it seems as if my blood sugar level did not fluctuate at all! Of course I am a little hungry, but not feelin' to shabby otherwise! Kinda weird, but I lost a lot of weight in such a short time...is this possible? (Normal?) url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/weight-loss/wjzHac4/]

Hey! Okay, progress, progress, progress... (now if only I would start exercise!!!) So far so good. I find that the best way to drink it is chilled...almost to the point of being a slushy. It actually tastes a lot better than I imagined...and thank God no nasty cayenne pepper in the water. Also, the cinnamon is a refreshing taste in the morning and evening. Gonna start the SWF for the first time tomorrow. It's day 3, and all is well!!!

I recently did the MC for 10 days and lost 22 lbs. I just hated the maple syrup and would have stayed on it if I would have liked it. Someone told me the Agave Nectar tastes great and I should give it a try even though I am not a diabetic. My question is does it have to be blue agave nectar or will raw agave work to? Thanks for your help! __________________

Maybe its just me, but I can't see more than page 1 of this post? I'm pre diabetic, and I'd really like to try it with the agave (do I need a specific kind?). If someone could send me some more information (whats this about cinnamon?), that would be great. My email is falling_rockstar@yahoo.com I'd really appreciate it. |

I have type 2 diabetes, and I am on day 4 of the diet. I noticed my blood sugar is higher in the morning, but stabalizes during the day. I would love the pre-diabetic recipe so that I can switch over to that. |

I know many of you have asked about the recipe for the Master Cleanser w/Agave, as it was introduced by us, the recipe is not available without the kit, but I'm now going to make it public. You can find the recipe at the following link. This is a new information website,(nothing to sell) still working on it. I'm just consolidating all the information and research that I have gathered and is being posted on this website. Originally, I though of making it a paid membership website, but decided to post the information for the benefit of all us... I'm firm believer of karma! so, I hope my reward is that I stay healthy and slim (I wish a little slimmer) Now, remember the site still under construction, but for our members here is the link to the Agave recipe: http://askdietguru.com/AgaveRecipeDiabetics.html
Thank you all for being here, for trying so hard, for giving each other support! Blessings/DG/ __________________ http://TheLemonadeDiet.com

Hello, i'm new to the sight and have just begun the cleanse. I am thinking of switching over to the agave simply because where i am right now i think it is more cost effective than the maple syrop. I noticed the recipe says to use cinnimon? Can i still use the cayenne instead? I dont have cayenne capsules and cannot get them here...but i already have cayenne powder.

I have ordered my lemonade diet should be here sometime next day or two. My boyfriend is type 2 diabetic and he told me he thought about trying it (the agave cleanse) but thought this would be a dangerous thing for him.
Is fasting dangerous for diabetics such as this? I am concerned if he does do this as well.
Anyone out there that is diabetic type 2 and has done this I would like to hear from you.
Thank you. __________________ RFennessy |

I am type2 and doing the cleanse now. I have found that my blood sugar stays moderately low about between 114-122 on days 1 and 2. If you take insulin as I do be very careful because it can drive you sugar even lower. Test, test, test. Monitor you sugar more frequently than usual. My doctor gave me permission to adjust my insulin levels and I am not taking any while on the cleanse. |

Aloha DG!
I am looking to do my second MC and want to try the Agave recipe instead and see how that works for me. It's sound wonderful and I have read all the replies and postings people have submitted and I am really eager to try this out.
I have a couple of questions though.... 1. Is the cinnamon powder used only in the first and last lemonade drink of the day? 2. What is the recommended milligrams for the Cayenne capsules (if buying ingredients individually)? Your response will be greatly appreciated! I hope to do this Agave/MC cleanse real soon!

I am also a type 2 diabetic, under control. But sugar makes me feel very sick and my blood sugar levels elevate. In addition I had a gastric bypass 2 1/2 years ago and do not eat sugar. I am in the process of starting this cleanse and very hesitant to do it due to the sugar. I have bought all the ingredients, including the syrup. After reading a few postings, I am very nervous about using the syrup due to not feeling well due to both conditions. Any suggestions for me? I noticed a Agave recipe might be avaliable. I am willing to be a tester of it all and track my results.
I am really committed to this cleanse for the duration. Just not to sure now that I am realizing there is 26g of sugar in every @ Tbsp of syurp. Multipy this by 6-10 servings per day, wow that scares me.
Let me know if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks! |

My husband is diabetic (between pre & type 2) and I think that we may try this one together. We have the "Complete Body Cleansing Program" 7 day program by GNC (which includes both prebiotic & probiotic). Should we do that cleasing before, during, or after this "Lemonade Diet"? It's going to be hard getting him off that meat, but hopefully he can withstand it for at least 10 days

Does the Agave provide the same natural minerals as the Maple Syrup? I have cleansed with this diet for 14 years now. Once or twice a year. I am currently on day 11 for this year. My husband is also on it.-RW |

I am new at this and planning on starting this soon, I am a female diabetic type 2 and very happy to learn about the Master Cleanse Agave Syrup. I am about to buy everything I need "separately" so how do I get the instructions on how to drink the cascara sagrada caps, cinnamon, mint tea, cranberry tea, cheyenne pepper capsules and others...? Is this in the booklet that is sold in stores or could someone tell me where I could find it? thank you |

I notice that the agave syrup has a little bit less calories than the maple syrup so one might need to up their intake, if using agave instead of maple syrup, in order to maintain enough energy through out the day. __________________ Tiffany |

Hi, I posted the following on another thread, but this thread looks like it has my answers. I'm pasting my other post and adding this. Agave is mexican so you would think I could get it. No doctor has diagnosed me as prediatbetic, but I know my body well and as of six weeks ago, I have been having headaches, tingling in my feet, minimal digestion--by belly is bloated (I am slender) constipation. I can no longer make mistakes with my diet, like a bite of the wedding cake from the wedding at my resort (which is when I really noticed what was happening to me--the reaction)
I tried to go to that website that was posted earlier about the agave recipe--and it wasn't there.
My other post:
I just joined the message board today and I am not sure how to use it. I have a question: It appears that I am displaying pre diabetes. I now live in Mexico and I'm not really interested in what the AMA would tell me anyway. I have done the Master Cleanser a number of times and my whole adult life practised fasting and raw food diet. Yes, I fall off the wagon--which by american standards is still a healthy diet, but now my own body acts as a geiger counter--nope can't eat this, nope can't think that.
My stress level went through the roof recently and I literally saw myself make myself sick and now I am dealing with this. Even though I own and run a small boutique resort in paradise, a number of serious issues in my life collided at once--like being stranded here on my own and area business has bottomed out due to the economy and drug cartel stories and of all things, the local mexican government is trying to swindle me-- and my body literally shut down.
I was already on the way to recovery naturally using a blood purifier electric pulse machine to heal the Hep C that was a gift from my ex. For over 30 years, never sick--literally--moving to Mexico--had complete medical exam--found out about Hep C--let the doctors in--THEN I got sick so I stopped listening to them and went back to what I know--natural healing.
But something shifted recently when I paniced over some major issues in my life and I saw myself make myself sick and now I can't seem to digest food, even yogurt, which I was eating for the probiotics, definitely can't digest anything complex so I eat fruits and salads and occasional piece of bread or corn tortilla or cheese, I yield to temptation. However, I am sick of being sick so it is time to be a purist again and I want to do this fast.
I like fasting, last time I did 20 days. Thing is, if I am having digestive issues, headaches, constipation, circulation issues, which seem to be about blood sugar, can I do this fast.
I know all disease is basically the same so what cures one will cure the other, thing is, the stress factors right now are horrendous for me and that was/is the critical factor here. I am resolving the issues one by one.
I already decided that I am going to do cayenne and lemon during the day along with salads until I find out if I can do the cleanser. I live in a very primitive area and I have no idea where to get any kind of maple syrup, I don't even know if I can find molasses, but that should be easier. I may have to forget a sugar. Could I blend papaya with water, cayenne and lemon? I'm winging it here.
Any help would be completely appreciated.

I have been following this site, thanks for the information. I'm interested in switching to agave . . . found a few different kinds of organic agave syrup -- the taste of the "blue raw" agave is worse than the taste of grade b maple syrup, but the lighter formula agave syrup is pretty close to the taste of sugar.
Does it matter?

There are several types of Agave Nectar:
Raw light Raw amber Light Amber Blue agave (the plant is slightly blue, not the nectar) Blue light
It is claimed that the darker (and thicker) the nectar the more beneficial nutrients it contains. Wikipedia discribes some of the variations as follows:
Quote: Agave nectars are sold in light, amber, dark, and raw varieties. Light agave nectar has a mild, almost neutral flavor, and is therefore sometimes used in delicate tasting foods and drinks. Amber agave nectar has a medium-intensity caramel flavor, and is therefore used in foods and drinks with stronger flavors. Dark agave nectar has stronger caramel notes, and imparts a distinct flavor to dishes, such as some desserts, poultry, meat, and seafood dishes. Both amber and dark agave nectar are sometimes used "straight out of the bottle" as a topping for pancakes and waffles. Raw agave nectar also has a mild, neutral taste. It is produced at temperatures below 118 degrees F to protect the natural enzymes, so this variety is an appropriate sweetener for raw foodists. Hope this helps. ...vegeman

Thank you for the quick reply! Actually my question, to be more straightforward, is whether I can use the "light" formula of organic agave nectar (Madhava brand) in my Master Cleanse lemonade instead of the Grade B maple syrup, without being unfaithful to the Master Cleanse. Thanks in advance for this clarification! |

Yes that would be okay, Madhava Light is a common brand found in health food stores. It has been used with success by quite a few type II and pre-diabetic cleansers. The only drawback would be its low glycemic index does not provide the spike of energy that you'd get from maple syrup.
BTW, regular Organic Madhava agave nectar is promoted on our MC/Products site under "syrups". Click on photo below to go to the page where it's currently on sale.
