So, i'm attempting 40 days. I'm only on day 7, and i'm not forcing myself to do exactly the 40 days. I figured i'll go a day at a time.
My question is, i'm aware of the whole easing in concept of drinking orange juice for first day, eating veggies and soup second, etc.
Would i be able to get onto the GM diet when i'm easing in? As in, on day 1 to breaking the fast would it really make a big damage (weight wise) if i ate fruits all day rather than drinking orange juice?
I understand that the rules set out in the book are what should be followed, but fruits aren't THAT bad right?
If people don't know what GM diet is, it just consists of a meal plan really...
Day 1: Can eat only fruits Day 2: Can eat only veggies Day 3: Fruits and veggies Day 4: 8 Bananas and 4 Glass of milk Day 5: Beef and 8 tomatoes Day 6: Beef and veggies Day 7: Brown rice, veggies
Can eat unlimited cabbage soup.
Thanks! |

Hi Vee and
After ten days or more on this cleanse any sort of solid food may come as a shock to the system. The orange juice prepares the digestive system to properly digest and assimilate regular food. It also give you time to determine if there's any digestive difficulty prior to or during the change over to solids.
The milk on day four of the GM regime would likely produce a lot of mucus after the MC/Lemonade Diet and it could cause disturbances in the colon. You might want to review what Burroughs says in his booklet about milk and protein (beef) food. Click HERE and scroll down.
I'm all for the cabbage soup part once the digestive system is properly prepared. Cabbage is very nutritious, relatively high in fiber and it is one of the most cleansing of all vegetable foods.
For more on this subject check out the following thread...Breaking the Cleanse & Keeping the Weight Off
I hope this helps.

PS: There is a vegetarian version to the GM plan which substitutes brown rice for the beef. Personally, I would also choose to avoid cow's milk and use almond, rice or soy milk instead.

I don't drink cows milk anyhow, ive been drinking soy milk for about a year now. i was just stating the GM procedures so i didn't want to change any of the facts lol. I will check out the vegetarian GM plan, that sounds interesting! So theres no way out of drinking the orange juice hey? I don't really like orange juice, can you substitute? for cranberry or something? |

Grapefruit or pineapple are the best alternatives.
