Can botox users participate in the master cleanse?  Will there be weird effects?
Thanks!

You're kidding, right?

Botox (Botulinum toxin) is one of the most poisonous naturally occurring substances, and it is the most toxic protein.

Talk about a classic oxymoron, using a toxic substance while on a cleansing program meant to detox your system. Yeah, that's just plain weird!

As Jim Croce once sang:

"You don't tug on Superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off the old Lone Ranger
And you don't mess around with Jim"

'nuff said!

I would say that you could do it, that is, if you are not planning on doing botox injections during the cleanse.  That of course would be wrong, like Vegeman said.  The botox will probably be the first toxin released from your body.  If you don't mind that coming out, then sure you can do the cleanse.  Actually, it would be good for you.  After you are finished with the cleanse though...do NOT do any more botox.  The cleanse will naturally tone and tighten your skin.  I know because this is my second cleanse, and it has done just that for me.  I hope this helps.  You can do it!

Take care

Thank you Angliz3 for your more positive feedback / informations.  As for you vegeman... I don't claim to be perfect, just trying to be the best I can be, botox or no botox. I guess my life choices are not up to your standards; so sorry for that

No need to be sorry, I didn't set the standards for the Master Cleanse/Lemonade Diet, Stanley Burroughs did, and he did that after over 40 years of experience and thousands of people who benefited from his detox program.

Don't shoot the messenger!

If your intention is to detox yourself from all toxic substances (including Botox), then this support message board is here to help you. But when asking (as you did in your original post) if Botox users can participate in the master cleanse, then my original response stands.

Hi Vegeman,
Yes, I am here for support and hope to continue using this very informative message board.  I do have to say that I did sense the sarcasm in your first response.  I see your point though, no argument.  Let's just let this one go.  Have a great life.

I got Botox right about a week before I started the MC. My intention is to detox from lots of bad things (sugars, fats, alcohol, cigarettes, whatever) but I really don't care about the botulism toxin and I do not expect the MC to reduce its effects. Botox is awesome.

That said, I am ten days in and my Botox is holding firm.
